For the cross-country skiers among you, a cross-country trail starts right in front of the Löckenwaldhof, which takes you in the direction of the Hofalmen, while you enjoy the fresh mountain air and beautiful landscapes. Another cross-country ski trail and skating track is located at the entrance to Filzmoos, which is ideal for beginners and experts. This route even takes you to Neuberg.
Filzmoos also offers a fantastic 16 km long high-altitude trail on the Rossbrand (1770 m). This offers a fascinating panoramic view of the mountain village of Filzmoos, the Bischofsmütze, the Dachstein massif, the Niedere and Hohe Tauern, the Sonnblick, the Großvenediger, the Gosaukamm, the Hochkönig and many more. To strengthen yourself for the return trip, there is a cozy rest stop at the end of the cross-country ski route, the Karhütte.
